24th CADFEM Users' Meeting 2006

The Stuttgart region in Germany is reknowned for its engineering tradition and ist innovative power, which is reflected by its manywell-performing high-technology companies, and its outstanding academic institutions.

From October 25 - 27, this leading European High-Tech region hosted the 2006 CADFEM Users Meeting & German ANSYS Conference. Current and future applications of ANSYS, LS-DYNA, and complementary FEM software in simulation-driven product development at companies and research institutes were the central topic of the conference, which was attended by 630 participants.

Keynotes e.g. from Porsche, Bosch Siemens Hausgeraete, Brose, Dr. John Swanson, Dr. John Hallquist, or Dr. Georg Scheuerer, up to 11 simulataneously held lecture sessions and workshops, a large CAE exhibition with more than 40 exhibiting companies, and unlimited opportunities to discuss and exchange experiences made the conference an extraordinary event to broaden one´s engineering know-how.

Beside the pure professional area, a conference highlight was the social event at the recently inaugurated New Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. The 2006 CADFEM Users Meeting & German ANSYS Conference, organized by German CADFEM GmbH and ANSYS Germany GmbH, was sponsored by ANSYS, Inc., Fujitsu-Siemens Computers, and HP.
